So, I'm a day late in blogging this... and Lord knows I have a LOT to catch up on here on the blog (of which my mother is often reminding me)... but I didn't want to wait until then to make a post about EASTER.
It's the time of year that I spend more time thinking about the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross. This year I look at my life and so much has changed from where I was at this time last year. I'm now a single mom... still raising three little ones... and still working hard to keep my business thriving. I have new worries, new ambitions, and a new outlook on life. It reminds me of a short story I wrote as a senior in high school about to embark on the adventure of college which reflected on the idea that Jesus is my most familiar place. In a time when the course of my life is ever shifting and when the water of life seems to be rising around me, I find comfort in knowing that He is my most familiar place. He my rock when I can't be strong, He is my comfort when I feel alone, He is my guide when I am lost... He is my love when I'm still waiting. He is my most familiar place. On Easter, and everyday, regardless of your life circumstances... may you feel the gift of His grace and the joy of His salvation.
Here are some highlights of my Easter Sunday... I'll be back to posting some images from my latest sessions soon!
The Easter Egg hunt at church...
Katie and Emma are discussing their attire.....
While Grandpa and Mr. Brian are discussing the amount of hair they have on top... :)
On the way home from church Micah got into his basket.... he is sneaky!!!
Back at Grandma and Grandpa's house... Go Team!!!
The food:
When Grandpa make this face he probably has a bone in his food:
That is a lot of food for just a few people.
Emma loved her chocolate bunny:
And last, but not least, it wouldn't be a normal day without Micah bonkin' his gnoggin at least once.
If you got this far... thanks for reading!
